Best Practices for Safety
UniSat Wallet provides a secure and convenient experience. However, it’s crucial to stay vigilant and take proactive measures to protect your funds from potential threats.
By staying informed and following these guidelines, you can significantly reduce the risk of falling victim to scams and malicious activities in the cryptocurrency space. Remember, your wallet’s security is ultimately in your hands, so take the necessary precautions to keep your funds safe.
Avoid malicious websites and scammers
We’d like to make sure you’re aware of common scams and phishing attempts, so you can be ready if you ever encounter them. Most scams use similar tricks, often trying to get your private information to access your cryptocurrency. Stay vigilant!
Beware of Unsolicited Messages Be cautious about clicking on links received via Discord, Telegram, email, or other social media, especially if they are unsolicited. Scammers often use phishing emails or messages to trick users into visiting malicious websites. If you receive an unexpected communication, verify its legitimacy with UniSat Wallet’s official channels. UniSat staff will never message you directly.
UniSat & UniSat staff will never ask for your secret recovery phrase or private key.
Double-Check URLs Always verify the legitimacy of the websites you visit. Scammers often create fake websites that mimic official platforms. Before entering any sensitive information, double-check the URL for spelling mistakes or unusual characters. Official UniSat Wallet websites will always use secure protocols like HTTPS.
Verify Announcements Scammers may create fake announcements that appear to come from official sources. Before taking any action based on an announcement, verify its authenticity by cross-referencing with UniSat Wallet’s official channels.
Educate Yourself Stay informed about common scams and phishing techniques prevalent in the cryptocurrency space. Knowledge is your first line of defense. Familiarize yourself with the typical tactics scammers use, such as fake websites, phishing emails, and fraudulent announcements.
Official Channels
Ensuring the safety of your UniSat Wallet is our top priority. Unfortunately, scammers and impersonators are on the rise, attempting to deceive users and compromise their assets. To safeguard your funds, it's crucial to only interact with our verified and official channels.
Verified Organization on X (Yellow checkmark)
UniSat has been verified as an organization on X, and you can easily identify us by the yellow checkmark associated with our name. This verification serves as a stamp of authenticity, assuring you that you are engaging with the legitimate UniSat organization.
Exclusive Support Channel on Discord
When it comes to seeking assistance, the only official channel for customer service is the support ticket system on our Discord server. Beware of individuals reaching out to you through other means, especially DMs or external platforms, claiming to be UniSat support.

Protect yourself on Discord
Users are increasingly being targeted by scammers and impersonators on Discord. Here's what you can do to increase your safety on Discord. We recommend you adjust the following Discord settings to reduce risks.
Turn off server-specific DMs: Right-click on a server icon > Privacy Settings to allow or disallow direct messages from users of that particular server. Turn it off for large public servers such as UniSat Discord.
Turn off DMs: In user settings > Privacy & Safety, you can control who can send you direct messages. Consider turning them off by default for added security.
Enable 2-Factor Authentication (2FA): In user settings > My Account, scroll down and set up both an authentication app and SMS authentication. Download your backup codes for 2-FA access in case of emergencies.
Verify User Identities: Right-click a user's profile > Copy ID, verify the ID with the server's staff to confirm the identity. If in doubt, reach out to us via our official channels.
By following these tips and staying vigilant, you can protect yourself from scammers and enjoy your time on Discord. Remember, it's always better to be cautious than sorry!
