We recommend creating a new UniSat wallet and sending your Alkanes assets to this new wallet.
❌ Directly importing your mnemonic or private key is not advised. Doing so may expose your assets to risk if your key is leaked or stolen during the process.
2. How do I create a new Alkanes wallet in UniSat?
First, make sure your UniSat Wallet is updated to the latest version or download it
On the wallet homepage, tap the HD Wallet icon in the top-left corner to access wallet management.
Click the “+” button to create a new wallet.
When creating a new wallet, you can choose from four address types — all are fully compatible with Alkanes. Select the one that suits your preferences; you can switch later if needed.
Important: Be sure to securely back up your mnemonic phrase — this is essential for future recovery.
Sending to UniSat wallet: No. UniSat supports Alkanes across all address types.
Receiving in UniSat wallet: No. UniSat wallet supports Alkanes across all address types
Sending from UniSat Wallet to other wallets: yes. Because other wallets may be double-address wallets that only support Alkanes on specific address types. - Please refer to target wallets for instructions on which address you should send your Alkanes to. For example, only bc1p address type supports Alkanes on Oyl Wallet. When sending to Oyl wallet, please send to bc1p.
Yes, you can batch-send Alkanes via UniSat.
⚠️ However, the number of assets you can send in one batch is limited by OP_RETURN data size.
If your batch exceeds the limit, you will receive a pop-up warning message.
