What is Single-Step Transfer?
Simply put, Single-Step Transfer combines what used to be a two-step process — inscribing a transfer and sending it — into a single, seamless action.
❌ Inscribe transfer inscription > wait for confirmation> send brc-20
✅ Send brc-20 in ONE STEP!
Simplified Transfer Process
Previously, if you wanted to transfer brc-20 assets (e.g., 100 ORDI) from Address A to Address B:
You had to inscribe a transfer, creating a Transfer inscription that locks part of Address A’s available balance into a transferable balance.
Only after that, you could send your ORDI to Address B, enabling B to receive the assets.
Two steps, two transactions, higher fees.
Now with Single-Step Transfer:
On the Send page, simply enter the recipient's address and the amount you want to send — just like sending FB.
One step, one transaction — fast and simple!
Why It Matters:
Cuts Costs: By combining two transactions into one, you pay significantly lower fees, making brc-20 transfers more affordable.
Saves Time: Skip the tedious step of creating a Transfer inscription. Enter the recipient’s address, set the amount, and send—done!
Streamlines Experience: Simplifies the process when trading brc-20 in a DEX like PizzaSwap or in marketplace.
Batch transfers: Future updates will allow transferring to up to 1,000 addresses in a single transaction with multiple single-step transfers.
New Feature: Vendicated Inscription Support
As part of this upgrade, Vendicated Inscription Support has been enabled:
This allows batch inscribing of Single-Step Transfers (note: deploy, mint, traditional transfer do not support batching inscribe), making it possible to transfer to multiple addresses at the same time.
When inscribing brc-20 inscriptions, UTXOs carrying useless inscriptions can also be used for spending, improving capital utilization.
Why Launch on Fractal Testnet First?
Fractal is a native extension of Bitcoin built using the Bitcoin core code itself. The network operates by Proof of Work same as Bitcoin, with its security guaranteed by miners who are merge mining Fractal and Bitcoin.
Fractal’s Highlights:
30-second block time — 20× faster than Bitcoin — enabling quicker confirmations and much shorter transaction wait times.
Perfect for fast-trading scenarios, such as swapping brc-20 assets on PizzaSwap!
What's Next?
Single-Step Transfer is now live on UniSat Wallet and Inscribe services on the Fractal Testnet. Please support by testing it out — we’re actively monitoring performance and feedback.
UniSat services on the Fractal Testnet, such as Marketplace and PizzaSwap, will soon adopt Single-Step Transfer so you can try out the experience in more scenarios.
After thorough testing, Single-Step Transfer will roll out on the Fractal Mainnet.
Finally, we’re working closely with all maintainers to coordinate the deployment of Single-Step Transfer on the Bitcoin Mainnet, aiming to launch it as soon as mutual consensus is reached.
