Ticker Verification Badge
What is the Ticker Verification Badge?
The Ticker Verification Badge (✔) highlights Tickers that are widely recognized by the community as the primary or canonical version of a ticker. In open ecosystems like BRC-20 and Runes, multiple tickers may share identical or very similar names. This badge is designed to help users:
Identify the most commonly recognized version of a ticker
Avoid impersonations or misleading duplicates
Badges may appear across:
Marketplace listings
Ticker detail pages
Search results (UniScan)
Rankings and trending lists
Why is this badge important?
Because brc-20 and Runes are permissionless, anyone can deploy Tickers using:
Similar naming conventions
Slight variations intended to confuse users
This can lead to users unintentionally trading the wrong ticker. The ticker Recognition Badge helps reduce this risk by signaling the version of the Ticker that is most widely recognized and used.
Important: This badge does not imply that the ticker was deployed by an official project team, nor that UniSat has verified any “official issuer.” Many tickers in the ecosystem are community-created and decentralized in origin.
The Ticker Recognition Badge does not:
Guarantee price performance or liquidity
Eliminate market risks
Represent endorsement or partnership by UniSat
Confirm legal, financial, or project legitimacy
Users should always conduct their own research (DYOR) before interacting with any ticker .
How are badges issued?
All badges are manually reviewed by the UniSat team.Evaluation may include (but is not limited to):
Community recognition and consensus
Trading activity and liquidity across platforms
Historical usage and distribution
Presence of impersonation or duplicate tickers
Public information such as websites or social channels
Badge decisions are discretionary and may be updated over time.
